We want to talk about the future
The tenth GrindTec is right around the corner and with it, some major challenges – industry 4.0, shorter product cycles, more complex tool shapes, more sophisticated materials, declining margins. And we want to talk to you in Augsburg about how to meet these challenges with future-proof grinding technologies.
New challenges, new grinding technologies
Here at Haas, we firmly believe that many industries are facing monumental changes. The automotive industry is a good example. Its suppliers will soon need to cope with very new challenges. The manufacturers of precision tools need to prepare for these changes. They will need to utilize grinding technologies that enable them to react to customer needs quickly and with extreme flexibility. And flexibility starts with the grinding software! Multigrind® Horizon is modular, versatile, and above all, user-friendly. As a user, clearly defined program steps guide you through the process to your tool. How? Our software specialists at GrindTec would be happy to show you.
Versatility and specialty are not mutually exclusive
Why are there still people around that think grinding machines from Haas are only for really exotic grinding jobs? The fact is that for many years, our grinding machines have produced a wide variety of tools and workpieces for our customers – from the tiniest cutting tools to 600-kilogram hobs. Usually in one clamping and always to the nearest micrometer. And this is exactly why our all-purpose Multigrind® grinding machines are used in wide variety of different industries – we feel just as at home manufacturing precision tools as we do in the field of medical technology, the aerospace industry, or the gear manufacturing industry.
Precision under the hood
In grinding, precision and dynamics are critically dependent on the mechanical stability of the grinding machine. And this is something that you can’t see from the outside. But take one look under the hood, and you’ll understand why our grinding machines operate with such precision. Our CA and CB machines stand out from the competition due to the Haas Multicube design. At the center of this grinding cube, the high-precision grinding unit unleashes maximum dynamic power. Thanks to the Multicube’s design, excess forces, vibrations, and thermal expansions are reduced to an absolute minimum. For you as the user, this means precision even when accelerating significantly and at high spindle speeds.
