I´m sure that our founder, Adelbert Haas, would be pleased about the newly established Adelbert-Haas-Strasse. He went into business for himself at the age of 34 and began building universal grinding machines for clock mechanics, precision engineering and medical technology industries. Just like today, there were demanding customers back then who placed great value on both the precision of machines as well as their simplicity of operation. Adelbert Haas knew from the beginning that he would only be successful if he fulfilled his customers´ strictest demands – no ifs, ands or buts. This exceptionally gifted specialist refused to compromise when it came to the quality of “his” Haas machines. I can well imagine that his hikes through the Black Forest and here in the Baar area provided him with the reflection necessary to tackle many of his most difficult challenges.

P.S. Did you know that house numbers were first implemented in the 18th century? Until then, houses were indicated by individualized signs and names. Today, an officially assigned house number is a given. By the way, our number on Adelbert-Haas-Strasse is 1. If everything goes according to plan, we will have moved there by the end of the year.
