Dear Schleifblog Readers,
Despite the fact that the new year is not so new anymore, we still don’t want to pass up the opportunity to wish everyone a happy, healthy new year.
Once again the opinions as to what this year will bring differ significantly. At the end of last year, the Handelsblatt saw a disappointing year ahead for 2016 when it read the tea leaves, while a couple of days ago Spiegel online listed five reasons why 2016 will be a good year. So what now?
Do what you can do really well
Here at Haas Schleifmaschinen we are going to do what we think we can do really well. We build CNC grinding machines and develop grinding software which our customers around the world can use to accurately grind precision tools and components to the nearest micrometer. In this context, the size of the workpiece is more or less irrelevant.
Long Edges, One Clamping
For example, shortly before Christmas our colleague ran in a Multigrind® CB which can be used to machine a workpiece more than 1,300 mm long (edge length of nearly 900 mm) with extremely narrow tolerances in one clamping process.
We’d be happy to explain to you how to process extremely large or extremely small workpieces to the nearest micrometer. Shoot me an e-mail or visit us at the GrindTec in Augsburg from March 16th to 19th, 2016. You’ll find us in Hall 7 at Booth 7001.
Until next time – keep grinding with attitude!
